Father Was Present During Fatal Dirt Bike Accident in Plymouth

Father tried to revive his son.

14-year-old Plymouth North High School student James Ward died from his injuries  on Sunday afternoon when his ATV collided with a dirt bike near a cranberry bog on Darby Station Road, according to the Boston Globe.

The boy's father James Ward Sr. was nearby when the head on collission occurred.

Ward asked the 40-year-old dirt biker, the other rider in the accident, to get help. The man left, yet did not return, reported cbslocal.com. Ward tried to revive his son with CPR and called 911.

The unidentified driver of the dirt bike went to the hospital and has not been charged. The accident is still under investigation.
