Police doing a well-being check on a 69-year-old woman who hadn't been seen in nearly two weeks met a gruesome sight Tuesday.
Police discovered the woman's body in an advanced stage of decomposition at her Kennedy Parkway home, according to The Manomet Current.
"There was, McNamee said, a great deal of other detritus and bodily waste at the scene. The fire department was called in with fans to help blow the smell out of the house, McNamee said.
"Police were contacted by the woman’s counselor, who had not seen her since the end of June, and had grown concerned. The deceased reportedly had a number of medical conditions."
The death is under investigation.
