$20K Needed for July 4 Fireworks

July 4 Plymouth, Inc. is inching closer to its goal, but needs to hit the mark by Friday in order to have fireworks.

The annual Independence Day celebration in Plymouth will feature a parade in the morning and a concert at night, but the fireworks show is still up in the air.

Tuesday, the July 4 Plymouth, Inc., the committee tasked with preparing the annual event, provided an update on the parade and fireworks to the Board of Selectmen.

The event is paid for throgh the support of local businesses and residents who donate what they can, as well as a series of fundraisers.

The last fundraiser for this year's celebration is Monday, June 24, at The New World Tavern.

Tickets are $50 and the festivities include food and entertainment, including a special July 4 mixed drink, a Mayflower beer tasting and raffle prizes.

Tickets can be purchased through the committee by sending a check or money order to July 4 Plymouth, Inc. P.O. Box 1776 Plymouth, MA 02362, at New World Tavern. They can also be purchased on July4Plymouth.com or through PayPal.
