Plymouth? There’s an App for That

A Plymouth resident has created a mobile application that allows businesses to share their sales, specials, and events with their customers

Matt O’Keefe, 40, thought up the Plymouth Pass application when he was working as a salesman selling mobile applications to businesses and discovered that most local businesses don’t have the budgets to afford the valuable marketing strategy. While Facebook has worked for many local business, and many are turning to Twitter as well, Facebook’s new pay-for-views strategy has turned some business owners off to the social media behemoths. That’s where O’Keefe hopes Plymouth Pass can step in and fill the niche. “Mobile replaces about 20 percent of a business’s marketing and advertising budget,” O’Keefe said. “It shouldn’t replace all of it, but it should be a part.” The Plymouth Pass provides a place for Plymouth businesses to post their …
