Is It Time to Replace PSHS?

The School Committee and Board of Selectmen meet tonight to discuss options for Plymouth South High School.

The brand-spanking new Plymouth North High School opens in less than two months and now all eyes are turned south. The Massachusetts School Building Authority is asking town officials what they want to do with the 22-year-old building. Tonight the School Committee and Board of Selectmen will discuss the options. The MSBA has offered to do a feasibility study on Plymouth South, if the boards wish to expand or replace the building. In order to do anything, the Selectmen will need to reaffirm a 2006 town-wide vote that guaranteed local funding of the original project, which included both the Plymouth North project and the new senior center.
