West Elemtary Students Clean Up

Fifth graders volunteered to clean up the grounds at West Elementary School

Wednesday, May 23, fifth grade students from West Elementary volunteered their time to clean up the school grounds. Whether it was weeding, raking, picking up trash or spreading mulch, it was a great opportunity for the students to give back to West. --From Plymouth Public Schools

Camp Clark Gets Cleaned-Up With Help from Comcast Volunteers

Comcast employee volunteers spent the day landscaping the grounds, painting picnic tables, planting window boxes and cleaning the grounds to get Camp Clark ready for the busy summer season.

Local Comcast employees and their families and friends volunteered to improve Old Colony YMCA’s Camp Clark as part of Comcast’s "Comcast Cares Day," Saturday, April 21, Comcast employee volunteers spent the day landscaping the grounds, painting picnic tables, planting window boxes and cleaning the grounds to get the camp ready for the busy summer season. Since its inception in 2001, Comcast Cares Day has become one of the largest single days of corporate volunteering in the country. More than 67,000 Comcast volunteers will participate in this annual day of service.  Over the previous 10 “Comcast Cares Days” Comcast volunteers have dedicated more than 2.1 million hours of service. Plymouth Resident Spends Spring Break Volunteering in Ecuador

Kiley Leduc, a Providence College sophomore spent a week in Ecuador as part of the school's Alternative Spring Break program.

Kiley Leduc, a resident of Plymouth and a member of the class of 2014 at Providence College, recently spent a week working in Ecuador, as part of the College's Feinstein Academic Institute's Alternative Spring Break 2012 program. Leduc was among nearly 60 Providence College students who volunteered to spend their spring break to work in 4 different locations around the world. Two courses taught at PC allowed 17 students to travel to Quito, Ecuador. The courses are The Global Community Lens, taught by Dr. Nicholas V. Longo '96, associate professor of public and community service studies and director of the Global Studies Program, and Eric E. Sung, assistant professor of photography, and Peace and Justice, taught by Dr. Jeffrey D. Pugh, …
