Two longtime friends and business partners have breathed new life into one of Plymouth's historic gems.
Pizza, wings, beer and good times are to be found at Lucioso's Pub at the Jenney Grist Mill. John Luce and Gabriel Daher's new restaurant takes the place of the Run of the Mill Tavern, which closed last year. Daher described the restaurant as having "a unique personality." Green and orange are the signature colors. Metal frogs stand at attention atop the fireplace, which, as Luce explains, echoes his interest in frogs and lizards and things. He was even the inspiration for Lucioso's mascot, a goteed, backwards cap-wearing cartoon frog indulging in pizza and beer. Sam's Teriyaki House is the new Chinese takeout on the block. While their menu is full of all the standard items you would expect, they can make just about anything else you are craving. Stephanie Lee, who works the front end of the business, explained that the chef is able to prepare dishes that people have had at other Chinese restaurants. Owner Chun Ching Hsu said that the menu is simple for guests. "I want to make customers happy."
