The South Shore Polar Express is an annual fundraiser by the Rotary Club of Plymouth and Plymouth Housing Authority. Children are invited to wear their pajamas as they board a Commuter Rail train decorated for Christmas and ride from Kingston to Halifax and back as they listen to costumed volunteers read Chris Van Allsburg's story featuring a boy who learns to believe in Santa. The ride includes a visit from Santa, fun and gift bags for each child. Tickets are now on sale for this one-hour train ride on double-decker passenger cars from Kingston to Halifax and back on the MBTA’s Old Colony Line. Get ready for March Madness! No, not the basketball tournament – just lots of bargains on the Live TV Auction by the Rotary Club of Plymouth. Hundreds of items worth more than $100,000 will be up for bid in Plymouth, Kingston, Carver, Duxbury and Marshfield. The Rotary Auction will be broadcast live by PACTV on Comcast Channel 13 in all five towns and on Verizon FIOS Channel 43 in Plymouth, Kingston and Duxbury and Verizon FIOS Channel 34 in Marshfield.
