Plymouth County Farm Offers Fall Harvest

This summer’s rain and cool nights made for a nice growing season and 16,000 hearty mums are popping with color, at prices the same as last year and in new planters such as window boxes.

Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald Jr. announced that pumpkins, chrysanthemums, asters, kale and gourds are available for sale at the Plymouth County Farm. This summer’s rain and cool nights made for a nice growing season and 16,000 hearty mums are popping with color, at prices the same as last year and in new planters such as window boxes. The farm and petting zoo are located on Obery Street, next to the Plymouth County Trial Court. The farm is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out fall farm pictures online at www.pcsdma.org. Plymouth County Farm Opens Today

The Plymouth County Farm and Horticultural Center has more than 75,000 plants ready for you to take home.

It is that time of the year again to visit the Plymouth County farm to find over 75,000 plants, potted flowers and herbs ready for residential gardeners. The horticultural center, which opened today, is located off Obery Street, in Plymouth, near the Courthouse. Both the farm and petting zoo are open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you are looking for the perfect basil for your pesto, mint leaves for a mojito or rosemary for your chicken dish look no further, The Plymouth County Farm is introducing the new “edible collection” featuring flavorful herbs and an accompanying recipe. Another great addition to the inventory are “patio” plants which are miniature in size providing those with limited space the opportunity to still …
