Sign Up for the 'Run for 1'

Plymouth Schools, Police, Fire, and DPW are sponsoring a 5k race to support Boston's One Fund and raise money for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Sign up for the "Run for 1," a 5k race and walk through Downtown Plymouth to support Boston's One Fund. The race and walk is being sponsored by the Plymouth Public Schools, Police and Fire, and the Department of Public Works. School Superintendent Gary Maestas, Police Chief Michael Botieri, and Town Manager Melissa Arrighi are asking residents and businesses to support the race by volunteering as support staff or by running. It's a great way for people looking for ways to support victims of the Boston Marathon bombings to help. "In situations like these, you feel powerless. That’s what acts of terror do," Maestas said. "Having shared that sentiment with several other town departments, we came up with this idea for a race/walk to give the …
