Brigadeiro Barn homemade Brazillian truffles. Nash Nursery offers a variety of annuals and perrenials. Duxbury's famous Island Creek oysters are available by the dozen, but can you only eat a dozen? The Cape Cod Cookie Company offers several flavors, but the best have cranberries. Westport Winery and Vineyard features wines produced right here in Massachsuetts and served in the White House. Silverbrook Farm offers jams, jellies, and mustards to go along with their fresh vegetables.

It's Valentine's Day, and if you've been under a rock and haven't made plans yet, here are a few last-minute ideas for you 1. Get the chocolate. Heart-shaped boxes are OK, but if you really forgot, you'd better spring for the good stuff. 2. The flowers. Ever female in her office is getting flowers today. If you don't have them delivered, make sure they're in the passenger seat when you pull in the driveway. 3. Most restaurants are taking reservations, but there might be a few places you can take her. 4. The first three fail? You'd better pull out the plastic and head to the jewelry store. 5. Patch Picks: May Flowers

After weeks of April showers, it’s finally time to start thinking about where to buy their May flowers (and we don’t mean the one docked in Plymouth Harbor).

Coletta Candini, president of the Plymouth Garden Club, knows a lot about plants, flowers and local gardening. This week, we asked her to suggest some of her favorite spots to buy planting flowers. Candini recommends locals looking to improve their gardens head to the County Farm this year. Run by six corrections officers, who also happen to be certified horticulturalists, the 90-acre farm is maintained by inmates throughout the year. This spring, locals can also bring their children, to enjoy a warm May day at the farm’s free petting zoo. While moms shop for mums, kids can see bulls, pigs, tortoises, chickens, cows and sheep.
