It's Presidents' Day, a federal holiday, so state and federal offices are closed today. Also, it's the beginning of February Vacation. Wooo!
1. The Plymouth Public Library is closed today. But there is a lot to do on this February Vacation. 2. It's Winter Vacation Kids’ Week at Pilgrim Hall Museum. The museum offers free programs for children under 18 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Draw a map with a quill pen, make a book, design a compass rose, make a dreamcatcher, draw your portrait, and create a bead necklace. Craft activities are available from 10-1; Treasure Hunts are available all day. This week, all children under 18 are admitted free to the museum, but must be accompanied by an adult. February vacation is almost over, but there is still plenty to do.

It’s the first day of February Vacation for the kids, to keep them and yourself from going stir-crazy, here’s some suggestions for things to do with (and without) the kids. 1) Plimoth Plantation is hosting a clay decorating workshop for kids. Reservations are required and the workshop costs $15 or $12 for members. Call 508-746-1622 ext. 8346 for reservations. 2) The Plantation is hosting a week-long celebration of Shakespeare’s A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream, with certain modifications due to the season. Children aged 9-13 can spend the week immersed in Shakespeare’s theater. Sessions feature costuming, acting, miming and theater history.
