Plymouth Bank Robber May Have Struck Again

Police believe that the same man robbed banks in Plymouth and Kingston in less than a week.

Police believe that the same man who robbed a Sovereign Bank in Cedarville Jan. 29 also robbed a bank in Kingston Monday, Feb. 4. According to WATD, around 10:30 a.m. Eastern Bank on Main Street in Kingston was robbed. Newly appointed Kingston Police Chief Maurice Splaine says a man entered the bank, handed a note to one of the bank tellers saying he wanted cash and had a gun, he then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount. The robbery suspect is described as a white male in his late 20′s or early 30′s. No weapon was ever shown and no one was hurt. Plymouth Bank Robbed, Two Suspects Caught at Halifax Wal-Mart

State Police used a helicopter to search for the suspects after one ran into the woods behind the Eastern Bank on Carver Road today.

Police have taken a man into custody Tuesday afternoon following a robbery of the Eastern Bank on Carver Road in Plymouth. Massachusetts State Police issued an alert at about 11:45 a.m. reporting on the Department's Twitter feed that a helicopter was being used to try and find a man first seen running through the woods behind the bank and later in a white hatchback vehicle which was traced back to Kingston. At about noon, police scanners and Twitter feeds alive with reports that two people were in custody in the parking lot of the Walmart on Route 106 in Halifax.
