Plymouth Police arrested a 39-year-old homeless man in connection with three local bank robberies in the past month. Francis A. Alberghini was arrested on Carver Road at 10:07 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant charge of armed robbery. He was arraigned in Plymouth District Court Wednesday morning on two counts of armed robbery and held on $200,000 cash bail. He has not been arraigned yet on the Kingston charge. He is accused of the armed robbery of Sovereign Bank in Cedarville Jan. 29, Eastern Bank in Kingston Feb. 4 and Rockland Trust in Manomet Feb. 8. In both cases the robber presented a teller with a note demanding cash. No weapons were shown but the notes stated that the robber was armed.

Police suspect the same man also held up two other banks in the last month.
The Rockland Trust branch in Manomet was robbed Friday afternoon just as the snow was beginning to fall. According to the Manomet Current, the suspect is the same man police believe robbed two other banks. According to Police Chief Michael Botieri, the suspect is the same person who recently held up a Sovereign Bank branch in Cedarville and an Eastern Bank branch in Kingston. the suspect reportedly passed a note, demanding money and claiming to have a gun. The teller complied with the demand and the suspect fled.

Two Kingston residents face charges in the latest robbery at a Plymouth bank.
Plymouth Police have charged two people with unarmed robbery following a chase that ended at the Wal-Mart in Halifax Tuesday afternoon. The pair, a man and a woman from Kingston, are facing charges that they robbed the Eastern Bank on Carver Road around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday. Massachusetts State Police used a helicopter to search for the pair, after a man was seen running from the bank into the woods and jumping into a white hatchback heading west on Route 80 in Kingston. Police arrested the pair in the Wal-Mart parking lot on Routes 106 and 58 in Halifax. Matthew P. Ryan, 33, of 149 Grove St., Kingston is being charged with unarmed robbery. The Plymouth Police Department is currently investigating two bank robberies that occurred at the Eastern Bank located at 71 Carver Road in Plymouth between 3:15 and 4 p.m., Thursday, March 22, and Tuesday, March 27. In both cases the suspect presented a note stating he was armed and demanded money. The suspect in both cases was described as a white male in his early 30’s, 5’10” to 5’11” in height, approximately 180 lbs, with short brown hair, and no facial hair. In addition, the suspect in both incidents was wearing a short sleeve shirt, ball cap, and sunglasses. There was no weapon shown and no injuries reported.
