Plymouth South Male Athlete of the Week: Kenneth Fantasia

The G & G/PSHS Male Athlete of the Week is senior Kenneth Fantasia.

Fantasia is a back-up goaltender, who has been with the team for four years and is the one player who is always positive through good times and bad times.  In addition, he’s always the first to help out younger hockey players, especially the goaltenders, even if it means giving younger goalies more game time than he gets himself.  No one could ask for a better teammate.

Plymouth South Male Athlete of the Week: Dylan O’Connell

The G & G/PSHS Male Athlete of the Week is junior Dylan O’Connell.

O’Connell, backbone of the hockey team, continues to play outstanding in net.  During last week’s games, we played against some tough offensive teams and O’Connell turned away close to 100 shots on net.  In addition, O’Connell’s work ethic and positive attitude make him one of South’s top leaders.

Plymouth South Female Athlete of the Week: Melissa Connolly

The G & G/PSHS Female Athlete of the week is Melissa Connolly.

Connolly has been a terrific senior leader and captain who helps her teammates both in and out of school.  In addition to all the effort she puts into her dancing, Connolly also helped edit the team’s music last week.  She has really stepped up this season.

PSHS Female Athlete of the Week: Madison Norris

The G & G/PSHS Female Athlete of the week is freshman Madison Norris.

In the recent win against defending ACL League Champs, Falmouth, Norris excelled on offense.  During the game she hit six 3-pointers on her way to scoring a high of 26 points - the majority of points coming in the third quarter, when Falmouth sat back in a zone.  All the while her teammates did a great job finding the open Norris who drained the 3’s helping Panthers increase the lead of their 1 half-time point. The Lady Panthers won the game 61-47!  Nice work, Maddie!
