Shakespeare Festival at Plimoth Plantation

Join Plimoth Plantation Friday, Aug. 9, for the Plimoth Players Shakespeare Festival, where you can try performing on stage during our open house, catch previews of our summer productions of Much Ado About Nothing and As You Like It. Watch sword fighting demonstrations and participate in other family-friendly Shakespeare activities like mask decorating. You'll even have a chance to win free tickets to the shows at our Insult-Like-Shakespeare competition. Activities will occur all day on Friday and Saturday and most are free with museum admission. To learn more about the Plimoth Players' summer performances, visit www.plimoth.org or the Plimoth Players blog at blogs.plimoth.org/players.

The Plimoth Players will perform Much Ado About Nothing at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, and then Fridays and Wednesdays throughout the month, in the black box theatre at Plimoth Plantation. The troupe performs As You Like It at 8 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays. The two plays run throughout August with a final performance of “As You Like It” at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31. Tickets are $17 each; $12 for Museum members. For more information, visit www.plimoth.org/shakespeare.
