Rotary Club Running Food Drive at Local Grocery Stores April 28

Members of the Rotary Club of Plymouth will be stationed at four local supermarkets to accept food and cash contributions to fight hunger this weekend.

Rotarians will be accepting donations at Stop & Shop supermarkets in Plymouth, Manomet and Kingston and at Shaw’s in Plymouth from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All contributions will go toward the Feinstein Challenge, a charity effort by Alan Shawn Feinstein to match giving to anti-hunger organizations nationally up to $1 million.

All funds and food donated that day – as well as the matching grant – will go to the which supports scores of emergency food assistance programs in local towns. It is operated by the South Shore Community Action Council.

The Rotary Club of Plymouth supports the enhancement of the quality of life within local communities and internationally. Club membership is comprised of dedicated individuals from diverse professional and business backgrounds, recognizing that commitment to fellowship fosters greater service and that serving others gives greater meaning to club membership.
