After skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common type of cancer that affects women; sadly, it’s also one of the deadliest. Yet this trend is declining as more women are making use of early detection strategies to find breast cancer in its earliest stages. Early detection is key to increased survival rates.

“Breast cancer is something we see regularly with our patients. It’s something many of us have known in our personal lives. But when it hits one of our NVNA and Hospice family members, it hits us all. Although we can’t walk in step with them, we travel behind to support, encourage, and pink them back up when they need us,” said Meg Doherty, CEO of NVNA and Hospice.  As we filmed this video, another one of our own is on the treatment treadmill. We reach out to stay connected to the kinship we share, the mission we carry, the hope that someday breast cancer will no longer wound any of our sisters… working together to “ignite the light” for a cure to shine through.”
