ARC of Greater Plymouth Needs Program Sponsors

The ARC of Greater Plymouth has offered kayak lessons for its clients for the past five years, but this year the organization needs a sponsor to continue the program.

The ARC of Greater Plymouth in partnership with Coastal Kayak Educators offers kayak lessons to teens and young adults with developmental disabilities. This is our fifth year presenting the popular program. It is a great opportunity for our members to learn a skill, develop confidence and just have fun on the water. It provides a structured environment and assistance with adaptive equipment in the protected waters of Plymouth Harbor. The participants pay a fee for the lessons but it does not cover the cost of the program.

This year we are in need of a sponsor. The monies needed for the season is $2,400.

The ARC's mission is to provide supports and services to individuals with intellectual and other disabilities and their families. We serve 1,000 families and 550 individuals in the Greater Plymouth area.
