Plymouth South Wins Football Showdown Against North

The top-seeded Panthers defeated Plymouth North in the Div. 3 Southeast Sectional football title game.

Plymouth South High School edged crosstown rivals Plymouth North in the MIAA Div. 3 Southeast Sectional football championship game on Friday, Nov. 15, by just one point.

The Panthers, which hosted the contest, won 7-6, against the No. 3 ranked Eagles.

Plymouth South will take on Southwest Sectional Champions, Stoughton, on Friday, Nov. 22. The state semifinal, which will be held at Brockton High School, will kickoff at 7 p.m.

The winner of next Friday's game will earn a right to represent the south at Gillette Stadium on Dec. 7.

The season isn't done for North, as they'll see South for the third time this season in the annual Thanksgiving day game.
