Wally the Green Monster Celebrates Reading at Nathaniel Morton

News from the hallways of Nathaniel Morton School

Nathaniel Morton Elementary school celebrated the opening month of school with many different events and recognitions.  Some of these included a Summer Reading celebration hosted by Fenway's own Wally the Green Monster. Wally read his favorite story to the students and donated several books to the library collection. Wally also noted that Fenway Park is celebrating its 100th birthday, just like Nathaniel Morton will be this year.

The hallways and classrooms were filled with excitement and student work during the two Open House nights held in September. Many community groups were available as well to offer families information.

Nathaniel Morton was chosen by JoAnn Fabrics to be the recipient of a $2,000 donation. The store has recently opened at the Shops at 5 and looks to support local schools when moving into a new community. The school plans to use the monies to enhance its technology and provide students with more opportunities to display their own creativity and innovation.
