Major Coastal Flooding Possible at High Tide

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning until 3 p.m., Friday.

Moderate to major coastal flooding is possible in Plymouth, Friday, according to the National Weather Service's Coastal Flood Warning.

The warning forecasts that the midday high tide will have a greater impact than the high tide on Thursday night.

High Tide is at 12:24 p.m., Friday in Plymouth.

The Coastal Flood Warning, which includes the majority of the Massachusetts coastline, will be in effect until 3 p.m., Friday.

Possible impacts include flooding of vulnerable shore roads, basement flooding, debris on roads and damage to shoreline structures, according to the NWS.
