Other facts

Christopher has spent his entire career in the private sector working in finance, helping to grow a small business, and consulting for small, medium and Fortune 500 companies across the country. Biography Christopher is the oldest of two boys and was born to David and Diane in Springfield, Massachusetts on May 25, 1978. His parents have been married for 35 years and still reside at the family home in Andover, where they’ve lived since Chris was 8 years old. His father has been the owner of a small plastics manufacturing business in Methuen for the past 25 years, and his mother works as a lab supervisor at a major academic medical center in Boston and part time at the Yankee Candle store in Methuen. His younger brother, Richard, studied sports journalism and has been an employee of the Boston Red Sox for the past 5 seasons as a member of the ground crew. Chris participated in several activities growing up, including Scouting. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 14, completing a clean-up and restoration project at his church for his Eagle project. He was a member of several Shingebis Lodge (Order of the Arrow) ceremony teams, and, as Senior Patrol Leader, led his troop to victory in the 1994 Norwich University Jamboree. Apart from Scouting, Chris was also active on both his high school and local YMCA swim teams, was a member of the marching band (he played trumpet and baritone horn), attended Massachusetts Boys State in 1995, and graduated from the Junior Statesmen of America Summer School program at Georgetown University. During his senior year in high school, Chris was captain of the high school swim team and placed 9th in the 50 yard freestyle at the Division 1 state championships held in Boston. Chris followed in the footsteps of both his mother and grandmother when, in 1996, he enrolled at Syracuse University. While there, he competed for the Orangemen as an NCAA Division 1 Diver, and spent the Spring of 1998 in London, England studying public policy and economics under Maxwell School professors. He graduated at the age of 20 with a Bachelor of Science degree (Magna cum Laude) and was awarded with memberships in the Phi Beta Kappa (liberal arts studies), Phi Beta Delta (international studies) and Omicron Delta Epsilon (economic studies) national honor societies. Immediately following graduation, Chris took a position with New York City based Worldco Financial Services. He started with the firm as a logistics coordinator and quickly proved his worth, moving onto the proprietary trading desk in early 2000. He spent several years as an equities and derivatives trader, and was later tasked with opening a South Florida regional trading facility. During his time in the financial services industry, Christopher earned six National Association of Securities Dealers licenses including those of General Securities Principal, Registered Options Principal and Financial and Operational principal. After Worldco’s dissolution in 2003, he joined a small consumer goods company headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida. While at iHealth, Chris helped lead the company’s sales and marketing department. He assisted in taking the firm public via the firm’s 2004 IPO, and was responsible for doubling company revenues in each of the three years during his tenure. In 2006, Chris left the business world to pursue a Master of Business Administrations from the University of Florida. During the intensive 12 month program he enjoyed watching the Gators rattle off 3 national championships (2 in basketball, 1 in football) and led his own Gator case competition team to the finals of the Thunderbird Global Innovation Challenge held in Glendale, Arizona. Christopher currently utilizes the skills he amassed in graduate school, as well as in the financial services and consumer goods industries, to consult for small, medium and Fortune 500 corporations from his home in Plymouth. During the past five years, Chris has also served as a consultant for the global turnaround and restructuring firm AlixPartners in New York and boutique strategy consulting firm Bridge Strategy Group in Chicago. In addition to the consumer goods and financial services industries, Christopher also has deep experience consulting in the healthcare, utility and manufacturing industries. When he’s not working for a client or attending local political meetings, Christopher very much enjoys working on his 1985 Jeep CJ-7 (which he built from the frame up - yes he knows the 'wave'!) and has spent the past decade as a volunteer coach for a local high school swimming and diving team. He is also a member of the Plymouth County Charter Study Commission, is a friend of the Plymouth Council on Aging and is a member of the Plimoth Plantation.
