Applicant from Plymouth Awarded Medicinal Marijuana License

The state's Department of Public Health announced Friday morning the 20 applicants that will be receiving medicinal marijuana licenses to operate in Massachusetts.

The Department of Public Health announced Friday morning the 20 applicants that will be awarded medicinal marijuana licenses to operate in Massachusetts.

Dispensaries will be located in Mashpee, Dennis, Taunton, Fairhaven, Salem, Haverhill, Holyoke, Northampton, Lowell, Ayer, Newton, Cambridge, Brookline, Quincy, Plymouth Brockton, Boston, Milford and Worcester, according to the announcement.

Medical Marijuana of Massachusetts Inc. was awarded the license in Plymouth.

More than 100 groups applied for licenses to open medical pot shops around the state. The licenses were awarded by county.
