Weymouth Police Bust Plymouth Man For Heroin, Prescription Pills

Weymouth detectives arrested a Plymouth man at the Dunkin Donuts on Park Ave, after they observed him make a drug transaction in Columbia Square.

Weymouth Police concluded a month long investigation on Wednesday, arresting a Plymouth man for distributing heroin and prescription pills across the South Shore.

Weymouth detectives arrested Kyle Beard of Plymouth at the Dunkin Donuts on Park Ave, after they observed him make a drug transaction in Columbia Square Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m., police said.

When detectives approached the buyer, they recovered a bag of heroin and a prescription pill, police said. After detectives caught up to Beard, they found 11 additional bags on heroine and numerous prescription pills in his possession, police said.

Weymouth Police Captain Richard Fuller said Columbian Square has been a "Hot spot" lately for drug deals.  Weymouth Detective John R. Perchard credits residents with the drug arrest.  Perchard said detectives had received numerous complaints by citizens on  ongoing drug activity in the square.

Beard, who formerly lived in Weymouth, is being charged with possession to distribute heroin, conspiracy to violate the drug laws, possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, possession with intent to distribute a Class C drug, and three counts of possession with Intent to distribute a Class E drug.
