Teen Arrested for Texting While Driving After Striking Car in Manomet
The 19-year-old swerved into another vehicle while driving in Manomet early Tuesday morning, according to reports.
Police arrested a Plymouth man this week on charges of texting while driving after his vehicle swerved across a road and struck another vehicle, according to Boston.com.
The driver, a 19-year-old, had been driving south in Manomet when he swerved into the northbound lane around 1 a.m. Tuesday, according to the report.
After attempting to return to the southbound lane, he slammed into the front corner of another vehicle, which was being driven by a 19-year-old Plymouth woman; her 18-year-old brother was in the passenger seat, according to the report. Both were taken to South Shore Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver, whose name has not been released, was also charged with a marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a vehicle.
