Man Arrested for Running Down Officer After Apparent Abduction Attempt

A suspect involved in an apparent abduction in Plymouth on Sept. 15, was arrested in Taunton.

A Providence, RI, man,  wanted in connection with an apparent abduction and subsequent car chase on Sept. 15 man was arrested in Taunton, according to WCVB.

Pedro Santana, 55, allegedly tried to strike a motorcycle officer two weeks ago after a Plymouth girl reported two men tried to lure her into a pickup truck.

WCVB is reporting Santana will not be charged for the attempted abduction, but may have been in the area for drug-related activity.

According to WCVB, Santana will be arranged in Plymouth District Court for assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, driving with a revoked license, leaving the scene of an accident after property damage, assault with a dangerous weapon, negligent driving and failure to stop for police.
