Feds: Marstons Mills Man Bilked Three Investors Out of $800K

Alleged con man said he was trained in risk management.

The FBI claims a Barnstable man scammed three people out of $800,000.

Jeffrey Semanscin, 38, of Marstons Mills, bilked one investor out of $608,400 from 2005 to 2012, according to court documents cited by Cape Cod Online. Two other investors were also allegedly conned.

Semanscin allegedly told the first investor he worked for John Hancock Insurance and was trained in risk management.
