Electrical Problem Shuts Down Pilgrim Nuclear
Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station shut down Monday night when an offsite line lost power.
Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station is currently offline after one of the two lines that provide power to the plant went out, according to WATD.
The plant shutdown automatically after the outage, though the emergency diesel generators did start up safely. There is no threat to health or safety in the area,
Maintenance is being done at Pilgrim while NSTAR works on restoring offsite power.
