Community Update

My family and I are long time visitors of Indianhead resort, located in Ellisville, MA and we have heard that the town of Plymouth and neighbors in Ellisville are trying to prevent the owners from upgrading their campground.
It is truly a beautiful place to camp but does need much updating to make it more accommodating for guests.
From the various articles that have been circulating in the local press over the past two months, it seems that gentrifying ones own property, to sustain and secure the necessities of life, not to mention increasing of surrounding property values, is something that is discouraged by the town of Plymouth.
According to the Fifth amendment, a property owner is protected against the abuse of government authority, should they be within the zoning and environmental laws.
Why is the town of Plymouth, "America's Hometown," so opposed to the betterment of ones property if they are within the law?
I too am very concerned about preserving the natural resources we have in our country but improvement to this campground will not destroy the surrounding environment.
While I do appreciate the rights of the neighbors around Indianhead, there also should be equal rights given to the property owners.
Last time I checked we were still living in a democracy, which gives equal rights to all.
This to me sounds more like socialism and discrimination and that the town government is being influenced by those within greater social position.
A lot of what I have read from the opposition is arbitrary and sensationalized and I would have hoped that the officials in the town of Plymouth would have been able to discern this and just look at the mere facts of the case.
What truly would be the motivation behind some of the preliminary decisions made by Plymouth officials to vote against this temporary project?
I feel the town has not done their due diligence thus far and only hope that when this case reaches the next level of government; justice will prevail.
My family cannot afford lavish vacations so our options for spending quality time with the ones we love are in America's campgrounds.
Please join in this discussion if you wish to see Indianhead resort improve its facilities so that we, too, who are not as "influential", may enjoy our time off.
