Flea-less Flea Market Finds

One thing I absolutely love about the summer besides the warm weather and beautiful gardens blossoming with fresh catnip and juicy veggies are the opportunities to shop for cat art, trinkets and collectibles at various yard sales and flea markets in the area. You just never know what you will find, and sometimes you never know what it is you did find -until you get home. 

Yard Sale To Benefit Cat Rescue

In June I perused  Joan Norris' yard sale to benefit the Last Resort Cat Shelter in Hanover, Massachusetts, and found a variety of cat themed items. Curiosity may might not been too good for the cat but once I started looking online for comparable items I realized I may be onto something! 

Sequin Denim Cat Jacket

An item that jumped out at me was a beautiful cat sequined denim jacket, not quite my style, but the design detail was amazing and the cats were so colorful I had to grab a picture. Online I found a similar item on Amazon listed for $59.  

The Literary Cat 

Another fun item that my friend picked up was a miniature edition of The Literary Cat- which I found on Amazon selling new on Amazon for $5, and on Ebay Used for $3.00, not sure what my friend snatched it up for but I think she got a good deal for such a cute book. 

Sleeping Cat 

Hidden under a table out of the hot sun, was a sleeping cat statue, made of ceramic and had pink floral patterns on it, online similar styles sell for about $12.

Tabby Hot Plate

Just next to the statue was a cute tabby cat hot plate, I liked it because the cat was lounging about and that's just what I wished I had been doing on such a hot day! Although I couldn't find the exact match online I did find similar cat hot plates selling for between $3 and $20.
