The Market at the Pinehills Celebrates 5th Anniversary

The Market at The Pinehills is pleased to announce a weeklong celebration in honor of their 5th anniversary serving the Greater Plymouth and South Shore communities. In 2008, The Market opened the doors to their 13,000 square foot neighborhood grocery store focusing on fresh and local produce, seafood, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and in-store kitchen and chef, and your everyday grocery needs more.

The Market was recently named the South Shore’s first “Healthy Market” by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Jordan Hospital, and Healthy Plymouth.  The Mass in Motion Healthy Market Program, an initiative of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, works with local grocery and convenience store owners to make healthy, affordable food and drink options available to customers. By promoting healthy options, the local markets are helping to make healthy choices easier for customers in Plymouth.

The Market,
which has become one of Plymouth’s most popular grocery stores, will celebrate its five year anniversary beginning Monday, September 16th by hosting many promotions and events including:

“Our first
five years serving the people of the South Shore and Greater Plymouth have been
extremely gratifying,” says Sue Blackington-Harris, general manager of The Market.  “We have made it a point to develop great partnerships with local purveyors, to create an environment where our customers can know their butcher’s name and to ensure that everyone feels that this is truly ‘their’ neighborhood market.  We can’t wait for the next five years and beyond!”
