Mixing the Mediums with Bill ‘Liam” Alberti

The Kingston Public Library will host Mixing the Mediums
with Bill ‘Liam” Alberti on Saturday, March 15th at 2:00pm in the
library Meeting Room. Do you like to look at artwork? Do you enjoy reading
descriptive writing? Ever thought about writing something? If you answered “YES” to any one of these questions, this
interesting, fun and free workshop is for you!

Come join Bill as he leads us through a rich tapestry of
literature, music and art. This genre, known as ekphrastic, enables individuals to bring their own unique voice to their creations.
In this workshop, participants will view projected
works of art; listen to worded responses of well-known authors about these
works;
join in a discussion
about art and ekphrastic literature; and then have an opportunity to express
your own art responses in writing with instruction and direction from Liam.
Finally, you will be invited to voluntarily share your responses in this
positive and supportive environment.

Bill
is a Brooklyn-born poet, artist and musician.
