Investigating the Past Through Plants & Soil

Wednesday, August 14, 10:00AM - 11:30AM

Clues to the past can be seen by learning to read the landscape. Find out how plants and soil provide a historical record of previous events both natural and man-made.  Meet at the Scusset Beach Fish Pier.

All programs are free and open to the public.  There is a $7.00 parking fee for most programs.  Bring water, wear sunscreen/bug spray, dress in layers, and wear good footwear.  An adult must accompany children.  Rain cancels. Scusset Beach State Reservation is located at the end of Scusset Beach Road in Sandwich. For more information call (508) 888-0859 or visit www.mass.gov/dcr.
