Help Me Get Ready to Read

Help Me Get Ready To Read is a special workshop
for parents, grandparents, daycare providers, and early childhood
professionals. This workshop will provide participants with reading
stratgies that introduce early literacy concepts and skills, suggestions
and criteria for choosing good books to read aloud, and childcare
strategies that foster children's feelings of competence and confidence
as they learn to read.

This hands-on workshop is presented by Susan Marx and Barbara Kasok,
educators and co-authors of "Help Me Get Ready To Read: The Practical
Guide For Reading Aloud To Children During Their First Five Years."
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance for PDP credit.

This program is free. Registration is required and will begin on March 18. For more information, call the library at (508) 830-4250 or email plchild@ocln.org.
