Fred Astaire Dance Studio Welcomes Ballroom Fans

THE FRED ASTAIRE DANCE STUDIO “SWINGS” OPEN DOORS TO NEW LOCATION AND CELEBRATES FIVE YEARS IN BUSINESS WITH GRAND RE-OPENING CELEBRATION ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14

Dance enthusiasts in the Plymouth area are a few steps closer to putting their best foot forward as Fred Astaire Dance Studio Plymouth re-opens in a new location in the Plymouth Industrial Park at 9 Aldrin Road. In celebration of the new studio and a successful five years in business, the Fred Astaire Dance Studio invites the public to swing by their grand re-opening on Saturday, September 14 from 6-9 p.m. In addition to a ribbon cutting ceremony, the evening will feature several professional ballroom and Latin shows, free lessons, raffle and door prizes, light refreshments, and an open dance floor throughout the evening.

Led by owner/director Catherine Baird of Pembroke, the studio is eager to share the magic of social dancing with new students. Even those who think they have two left feet and no rhythm can learn to dance with Fred Astaire Dance Studio’s unique system of teaching, which is designed to offer beginner and advanced students alike a new way to grasp the concepts of partner dancing.

“We are pleased to serve the South Shore and share our passion for dance with the community,” said Catherine Baird, owner/director. “We are thrilled to be celebrating five years in business in Plymouth and to be able to celebrate our success as a studio with a beautiful new location. It has been such a joy to have met so many students of all levels and abilities and to show them how dance really is healthy, fun and easy. We love helping people gain a skill like partner dancing that they can enjoy for a lifetime!”

The studio’s nationally certified instructors have passed rigorous exams in the art of dance instruction, and the facility’s specially installed dance floor will reduce stress on students’ joints and muscles. Offering classes to adults and children in foxtrot, waltz, tango, rumba, salsa, cha-cha, swing and more, the studio will help dance students hone their skills at upcoming weddings, cruises, and parties, or even take their dancing to a competitive level. The studio’s regular hours are Monday through Friday 12:30-9 p.m.

Anyone interested in attending the celebration may call the studio at 508-732-6790 or dance@fadsplymouth.com.
