Americana Indie-Folk Band, Grace and the RSO, at the Blue Moon Coffeehouse, Rockland
On Saturday, October 12th, the Blue Moon Coffeehouse in Rockland features Grace Morrison and the RSO. Grace and the RSO are an American indie-folk quartet. The Boston-based band consists of Grace Morrison (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, accordion), Benjamin Moniz (guitar, mandolin, banjo, vocals), Max Judelson (vocals, bass), Marta Rymer (violin, vocals), Nate Tucker (cajon, percussion). Their debut self-titled CD was released in the fall of 2012 and is now available on iTunes and CD Baby. Grace and the RSO use folk and bluegrass instrumentation to tell the stories of early Ireland and England, songs of heroes and villains, kings and queens, and the legends that follow. Their vocal harmonies organically blend together with a down to earth and refreshing sound. Between sets by the band, there will be an open mic. Tickets are $7 at the door; children 12 and under are free. The show starts at 7:30. The address is Channing Unitarian Universalist Church, 45 Webster St. Rockland, located right beside the post office. For more information, visit www.thebluemooncoffeehouse.com.
