Four Paws Pet Boutique and Bakery Offers Unique Gifts

About eight months ago Suze and Jeff Genereux bought the pet boutique on Court Street and changed the name to , but the old name, Beach Paws, is still emblazoned on the front window, and the mural of Plymouth Beach on the store's back wall. It's come to the point where Jeff admits they go by both names. Of course, the Genereuxs would like that to change, but rebranding isn't always easy.

In the meantime, the couple is making small changes to the well-known boutique.

Suze is a fashion designer by trade and this is her first foray into the retail business. She's working her unique style into something for pets. The couple's chihuahuas, Tucker and Nikita, are her models.

Tucker spends his days at the store with his pet parents. When customers come in to look at doggie coats, costumes and other items, they use Tucker as a model. If a certain size fits Tucker, then a bigger size should fit your dog.

The Patriots and Bruins doggie team jerseys have become popular items, and so have Suze's own designs of doggie outfits. Halloween was a big event at Four Paws, and Jeff said he's seen the same uptick for the holiday season. He hopes that the trend continues, which he said is opposite of what he expected and what other Downtown business-owners have told him.

The outfits are popular, but the homemade doggie treats are becoming staples for customers. The organic treats, from dog bones to giant peanut butter-filled turnovers, rest in a glass-fronted display case, looking good enough to eat by this human.

Four Paws Pet Boutique is located at 52 Court St., in downtown Plymouth.
