The Plymouth Area League of Women Voters is sponsoring a candidate debate at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. State Senate and House candidates will face off at Kingston Town Hall.

2. There are two farmers' markets today, and it's nearing the end of the season. Check out the market at Plimoth Plantation, or at Stephens Field. Both start at 2:30 p.m.

3. The Plymouth Area League of Women Voters is sponsoring a candidate debate at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. State Senate and House candidates will face off at Kingston Town Hall, 26 Evergreen St. Democratic Senate President Therese Murray and Republican challenger Thomas Keyes will face off for the Plymouth-Barnstable District Senate seat. Democrat Rep. Thomas Calter will debate Republican challenger Debra Betz for the 12th Plymouth District House seat.

4. The Plymouth Area Coalition seeks donations of Stop & Shop and Shaw’s $10 gift certificates to provide low-income South Shore families with holiday turkeys. Deliver or mail them to 149 Bishops Highway in Kingston. For more information, call Helen at 781-582-2010.
