Mayflower Bank will sponsor a South Shore Young Professionals networking event from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the Plymouth Center for the Arts, at 11 North St. The night will feature networking, a chance to view work by local artists, a raffle, complimentary refreshments from Holmes Farm and Nicki Blanchard’s “Good in the Kitchen” and a cash bar. 4. The Plymouth Area League of Women Voters is sponsoring a candidate debate at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. State Senate and House candidates will face off at Kingston Town Hall, 26 Evergreen St. Democratic Senate President Therese Murray and Republican challenger Thomas Keyes will face off for the Plymouth-Barnstable District Senate seat. Democrat Rep. Thomas Calter will debate Republican challenger Debra Betz for the 12th Plymouth District House seat.
