Plimoth Investment Advisors promotes Mark J. Gendreau to Assistant Vice President Investment Officer

 

PLYMOUTH and NEW BEDFORD, MA…Plimoth Investment Advisors today announced the promotion of Mark J. Gendreau of New Bedford, MA to the position of Assistant Vice President and Investment Officer. Plimoth Investment Advisors is a portfolio management firm that specializes in investment management, trust services, retirement plans, and estate administration for both private and institutional clients.  The firm is joint-owned by BayCoast Bank, formerly Citizens-Union Savings Bank, and Dedham Institution for Savings. 

Gendreau joined Plimoth Investment Advisors in 2009 and was named Investment Officer/Trader in 2010.  Prior to joining Plimoth Investment Advisors, he was a credit analyst at Citizens-Union Savings Bank (now BayCoast Bank).  The analytical skills he had developed were quickly utilized in the equity research process at Plimoth, making him a lead equity analyst across multiple sectors.  In addition, he provides support to the fixed income process through credit evaluation and trade execution.  As Assistant Vice President and Investment Officer, Gendreau works with clients in establishing appropriate asset allocation policies and manages client assets in accordance with the group’s investment policies.

Gendreau holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He has also received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.  Presently, he is continuing his educational pursuits as a candidate for the Certified Financial Planner designation at Bryant University.

Mark is a strong community advocate as is evident from his involvement in numerous non-profit organizations.  He currently serves as President of the Greater Fall River Community Soup Kitchen, Vice President of the Fall River Lions Club, President of the Faxon Animal Care and Adoption Center, and Vice President of the Fall River Historical Society.
