Plimoth Plantation Announces New Director of External Affairs Ellen Kulik

Plimoth Plantation is pleased to announce that Ellen Kulik has joined the Museum's staff in the newly-created role of Director of External Affairs.

As Director of External Affairs, Ellen Kulik will work closely with members of the senior leadership team to help develop, prioritize and communicate the strategies that will maximize the growth of the Museum’s fundraising program.

Kulik has more than 20 years of experience with major cultural organizations in Boston and California as a fundraiser, administrator, and consultant. Past management positions have included serving as Director of Development for the American Repertory Theater and the Huntington Theater Company in Boston, as well as the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego. She has worked in the Boston and San Diego offices of Arts Consulting Group, Inc. and independently, assisting a range of clients. Kulik began her career in the dance world, most notably working as Director of Development for the San Francisco Ballet and the Boston Ballet. A resident of Cape Cod, she earned an MBA degree from Simmons College Graduate School of Management in 1997.

“Ellen brings great expertise and a clear understanding of the exciting opportunities for Plimoth both in terms of fundraising and institutional advancement,” Executive Director, Ellie Donovan, said. “We’re delighted that Ellen has joined the staff and we know she will be an asset to the Museum as we prepare for the upcoming 400th anniversary of the Town of Plymouth.”

“This is a particularly exciting and pivotal time for Plimoth Plantation as the Museum stands at the threshold of several transformative projects,” Kulik said. “I am looking forward to collaborating with the talented staff and committed Board who will lead our living history museum to a position of even greater relevance for the future and further engage the many communities that Plimoth serves.”
