PIDC Helps Fund Jordan Hospital's MAKO Robot

The Plymouth Industrial Development Corporation recently donated $200,000 to help fund Jordan Hospital's MAKO robot for MAKOplasty, an innovative, minimally invasive treatment option for those suffering knee pain. 

At Jordan Hospital’s Chairman’s Club Reception, Peter Holden, President and CEO of Jordan Health Systems, expressed the gratitude of everyone at Jordan Hospital for all that PIDC and its president Ed Santos have done for the Hospital and our entire community over many years.

“PIDC leaves its legacy,” Peter Holden. “At Jordan Hospital, we have named our PIDC Pavilion to pay lasting tribute in honor of their extraordinary support, along with a plaque in our main lobby that tells the story of PIDC, as well as a commemorative brick in our Walkway of Friends at Jordan Hospital’s main entrance.”

Santos of Plymouth has been President of PIDC since its inception more than 50 years ago.

“We are delighted to be associated with Jordan Hospital to make this gift in appreciation of the work they do in our community, and help further enhance services and treatment for patients so that advanced and competent care is always available close to home.” Santos said.
