Man Killed In Pinehills Construction Accident

A man was killed Tuesday in a construction accident in Plymouth.

The incident happened near 33 Landmark Drive in the Pinehills near the site of a hotel under construction.

Police said the 27-year-old man was hit in the head by a piece of construction equipment shortly before 9 a.m. while working at the site of a hotel under construction in The Pinehills.

Captain John Rogers said the man was not a Plymouth resident and the incident is being investigated by the state Department of Public Safety and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The hotel, the Mirbeau Inn & Spa, broke ground in April, and is scheduled to open next spring.
