Wings of Freedom Tour in Plymouth: P-51C Mustang

The P-51C Mustang is one of three World War II aircraft that visited Plymouth.

The Collings Foundation 24th season of the Wings of Freedom Tour stopped at the Plymouth Municipal Airport this week. Three restored aircraft were on display Monday, Sept. 23, through Wednesday, Sept. 25.

The planes that visited Plymouth include the B-24J Liberator, the P-51C Mustang and the B-17G Flying Fortress.

Visitors were given a chance to enter the planes and even take a flight after the tours.

The P-51C Mustang that landed in Plymouth is one of less than five of the early B/C models still flying.

The Collings Foundation offers flight training in the fully dual control "Betty Jane."
