Storm Could Bring up to 8 Inches Today

The National Weather Service updated its predictions Saturday, increasing the snowfall to between 4 and 8 inches for Plymouth.

The National Weather Service is predicting heavy snow and high winds today in the second snow storm in a week.

The snow began Saturday and switched over to snow as the night progressed.

There is the potential for heavy snow along with strong winds across the far Southeast New England coast today. The NWS is predicting between 4 and 8 inchs for Plymouth.

The initially wet snow combined with strong winds could result in downed tree limbs and a few power outages, according to the NWS. Winds will be between 20 and 30 mph with 50 mph gusts and cause poor visibility and possibly near-whiteout conditions for a time. Untreated roads and walkways will become snow covered.
