Plymouth Moose Hosting Benefit for Sandy Hook Families

Plymouth residents are doing their best for the families of Newtown, Connecticut.

The Plymouth Chapter of the Loyal Order of the Moose is hosting a benefit to support the families affected by last week's tragedy.

While many of the details are still in the planning stage, organizers including Jim McDonough, have set a date and have three local bands scheduled to perform. Proceeds will go to the Sandy Hook Relief Fund set up by the United Way.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight Thursday Jan. 31, at the lodge. There will be live music. Bands include The Extension, Katie Stodder, and The Great Ak, with more to be added.
