Did You Feel the Earthquake?

A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck southern Maine Tuesday night; did you feel anything?

A 4.5-magnitude earthquake hit southwest of Lake Arrowhead, Maine, at approximately 7:12 p.m. Tuesday night.  Lake Arrowhead is about 30 miles west of Portland. The quake was felt in the Plymouth area and southern New England.

We're checking on the status of Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, and will update this story when we hear anything.

UPDATE Entergy spokesman Carol Wightman said Pilgrim is fine after tonight's earthquake. "We did not feel earthquake at the plant. No seismic equipment at the plant alarmed or recorded any seismic activity. We are following our procedures and doing physical walkdowns of plant equipment and there is no damage to the plant or equipment."
