Community Corner

Plymouth Rocks Music Festival 2013

Blues legend James Montgomery and bassist David Hull (Aerosmith, Joe Perry Project, Dave Hull Blues Band) performed for the men and women at the REACH, Inc. Meaningful Day Program located at 18 Middle Street in downtown Plymouth on Monday July 22nd.  REACH, Inc assists individuals with developmental disabilities reach their full potential toward independence, self determination and happiness at home, at work and in their community.

Plymouth native Emily Hodges who will be sharing the stage with the James Montgomery Blues Band and who will also be opening for the band Boston at a private event August 15th opened the lunch hour show.

Family, friends, staff and people from the community dropped in as well.  There was a great deal of clapping and stomping, hoots and hollers taking place at the Meaningful Day Center and "Oh My Gallery" store.  The store also had a banner day in sales.  Smiles were everywhere.

I am grateful to James Montgomery, David Hull and John Ippilito of Blue Umbrella Entertainment for taking us under their wing, making great things happen for the men and women we support.

The Plymouth Rocks Music Festival is a benefit concert headlining the legendary James Montgomery Blues Band with David Hull and special guests including local musicians Hayley Sabella, Jimmy Craven, Emily Hodges and Mike Visconti.  All money raised is for the George W. Wagner REACH, Inc. Recreation Fund helping men and women with developmental disabilities fulfill lifelong dream.
