Plymouth area prepares to kick off Relay For Life at PartyLite on Feb. 26

Are you ready for some Relay? The Relay For Life of Greater Plymouth will kick off its annual “walk around the clock” to fight cancer on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. at PartyLite in Plymouth. Everyone is invited to attend and learn more about this important community event.

Plans for the 2014 Relay For Life of Greater Plymouth will be announced at the Kickoff Celebration. Last year, this team event raised more than $165,000 for research, treatment and programs to aid individuals and families dealing with cancer.

In addition, the Relay For Life Kickoff will provide information on what local people can do to combat this terrible disease. Teams can sign up, individuals can volunteer, survivors can get support, businesses can learn about sponsorships and more at the event. This is a great time to get involved in the Relay For Life of Greater Plymouth.

Help is needed to plan and organize this major community event to fight cancer. People are needed to serve on the committees and get the Relay started!

The 2014 Kickoff will be held at PartyLite, located at 59 Armstrong Road in the Plymouth Industrial Park. The company is a major sponsor and participant in this annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

The Relay For Life of Greater Plymouth will be held Friday and Saturday, June 20 and 21, at Plymouth South High School. Last year, more than 513 walkers on 41 teams and 91 cancer survivors participated in this important fundraiser to stop cancer. The event covers the towns of Plymouth, Carver, Kingston and Plympton.
